Ugears Big Ben

Assemble me Ugears Big Ben. Welcome to London!

London’s “Big Ben,” renamed the “Elizabeth Tower” in 2012, is an iconic clock tower standing 316 feet tall. Completed in 1859, it features the world’s largest and most accurate four-faced clock. Designed by Augustus Pugin, the tower is adorned with shields representing the UK’s four countries.

The Ugears Big Ben model is a 1:530 scale wooden DIY kit, easy to assemble in about an hour without glue or special tools. It’s perfect for anyone who dreams of London or loves iconic architecture.

Model size: 13.7*18.1*6.6 cm

Number of components: 63

Estimated time for assembly: 1 hr

Level: Easy

London's "Big Ben" is only the third-tallest clock tower in Britain, yet as an icon of world architecture. Instant conveyer of place, it is second to none. In addition to this, the Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster, familiarly known as "Big Ben," was subsequently renamed the "Elizabeth Tower" to honor Queen Elizabeth II on her Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

The name "Big Ben" was first given to the tower's hour bell. Mostly likely in honor of champion heavyweight boxer Ben Caunt.

Though possibly after Sir Benjamin Hall, who oversaw installation of the great bell.  Exterior decorations include shields with national emblems of the four countries in the United Kingdom.

England's red and white Tudor roses, Scotland's thistle, Northern Ireland's shamrock, and the leek of Wales.

In addition to the Great Bell that chimes the hours, every quarter hour four smaller bells play the "Westminster Quarters". The Ugears Big Ben model, with a section of the Houses of Parliament, from Ugears' World Cities collection.
