The Numerule is an easy to use hands on maths teaching aid WITHOUT lots of parts. The Numerule can replace OR be used in conjunction with existing maths aids used in the classroom. It’s well placed to assist children with the Australian Maths Curriculum.
THE INVENTOR John LOVES MATHS and he is an enthusiastic and committed primary school teacher for over 30 years. Most of his teaching has centered on older primary school students, so when his principal asked him to teach in the early years classes it was certainly an experience. This interaction with the younger students inspired the development of this awesome new tool.
Younger students certainly have a lot of fun with educational learning aids in the classroom. Many of these aids in mathematics can be small, easily lost and sometimes used in a fashion for which they were not really intended… yes you guys know exactly what we mean 🙂 Time is limited in the classroom, with many bases to cover and John thought time spent packing up could be better used.
Quite simply the Numerule he has designed does not only reduce pack up time, it helps students to focus more readily on distinct areas of mathematics, such as simple operations, number recognition and measurement. It also saves space, travels with the child and does not involve small easily lost pieces.
With numbered press buttons.
The all-in-one number manipulation ruler for early years numeracy.
Assists younger students to fast track their understanding of simple mathematic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, using simple press down buttons.
In line with the Australian Level 1 and 2 curriculum.
There are a wide range of powerful and practical uses for the numerule, including:
• Number & Algebra
• Measurement & Geometry
• Statistics & Probability
